After
the second Jay Graydon Allstars tour of Japan and Scandinavia
in '96, Sherwood was so happy with the way the band played his
songs from the tour that he grabbed some of the players, Jay
Oliver & Tris
Imboden w/ John Pierce and Carl Verheyen and rehearsed new songs
and then immediately went into the studio and cut six tracks for
the CD "Folis Paradyce" (pronounced Fools Paradise).
The first cut, Mercy, co-written by composer-arranger-keyboardist,
Jon Gilutin. Jon co-wrote "I Got a New Attitude" for
Patti LaBelle and has played with so many heavies in the bizzzzzzzz.
He is definitely the Funk Munk. Two other songs were co-written
with composer-guitarist, Tedi Sarafian:
Living The Moment and Broken Lines. Discretion written by Peter
Roberts (The Roberts Bros.) and Sherwood (What can we say, "Loose
Lips Sink Ships").
The title song, Folis Paradyce, In the Light of All Things, and
Stand Still written by Sherwood and Celia Xavier and last but not
least the solo guitar instrumental by Sherwood, After Me. |
